[Chuuya'd been doing nothing but drinking all trial, but just because he wasn't talking didn't mean he wasn't listening. The way Escha reacted with disbelief at the thought of hurting someone you love, the surprise when Monika admitted to the crime even though it was all but confirmed before then-

He thinks of their conversation about Zero, before.]

[ She still looks pretty down - but at this point it's really more about Prompto than it is Monika. Not that either is a great... Situation. ]

Yeah, that might be nice.

[So Chuuya sits with her, and after a moment's hesitation, reaches out to gently pat her on the head.]

[ She laughs a bit uncomfortably. She's 20 years old, you weird tiny man. But she is. Polite, so. ]

... It seems like everyone else stopped believing her a lot earlier.

Yeah. About the time when she called watching everyone theorize 'fun' is when I stopped.

Having a bad personality doesn't necessarily make you a killer, though. At least, that's what I want to think.

...I didn't know her, but I'm assuming most of that is the demon, yeah.

It was so evasive with questions. I wish it would just talk to us so we could know what it really needs to be satisfied.

It was getting satisfaction out of pissing us off.

Even nice people can get possessed. I get wanting to believe the best in everyone, but...

Turning on each other too easily is also a problem.

I know I shouldn't have believed her for as long as I did, but... Being too suspicious too fast is bad, too.

How do you decide what's 'too fast' and what's 'the right speed'?

[ On one hand, Escha already drank twice this week, and that seems like a lot to her.

[Chuuya's off to hit the bar and make Escha a fruity girly drink, which he soon returns with.]

[ She nods - and accepts the drink when he returns. ]

[ She takes a sip of it, a little apprehensively... She's had some nice sweet drinks, but she's still not great with handling that alcohol taste. But it's sweet enough that she can handle it! ]

Oh, it's good!

[Chuuya relaxes, just a tiny bit.]

Yeah? I'll remember that's how you like your drinks from now on.

I had never really drank much before all of this. I'm not good with the taste of alcohol, so I like the sweet drinks that can overpower it.
