In some ways! Not everyone is able to use líng qì since you need a golden core to hold it, and it's unusual for anyone outside of a cultivation family to be able to form one of those. Anyone can use yuàn qì, though. It just needs to be done safely.
Nope! ...Well, a bit, when you're first learning - but in the same way anything is dangerous when you first learn. A cultivator's sword is attuned to their qi, so it's not like they could accidentally cut themselves, at least!
I usually stick to healing items when it comes to that kind of trait... With exceptions...
But even the living swords I've made aren't meant to be used as normal swords. I would probably need to talk to Logy about it, anyway. He's the one that handles equipment and alchemic swords and stuff.
