For some of us, it started to change. Taako and I can see that the ears of the scrunchie - the sequins started turning gold.

I dunno what it means or how we did it. Just wanted to see if we could figure out who else had one.

I think it's good? At least - it happened right when something else good was happening.

I don't know for sure.

Can I know what was happening? Maybe that's something everyone else needs to emulate...

It's frustrating. You could make guesses, maybe, but I'd probably have to say no to all of them.

Still - it seems like a good sign, right? If we can just figure out a way to communicate what did it...!

Heh. Well, that I don't even know for sure. But I'll keep trying to figure it out. I think it's a good sign, too? Purple Heart seemed happy, when I talked to him earlier.

J--Purple Heart did, huh...? I wonder if talking to them would help... Probably not, since the directors can't reveal stuff to us themselves.

But this is all pretty exciting! Like, um, the first hint of good news we've gotten? [ even though technically she's not even sure if it's good news... she's desperate, here, ok! ]

Yeah. Things were seeming pretty grim last week, but I think there's maybe some hope. [He smiles that she's smiling.]

It's way easier to use his name. But I don't know who any of the other directors are.

. . . You should introduce yourself. They're both nice. Black Shadows is a good friend of Wei Wuxian.

I've tried talking with them, a little... I'll just have to try harder.

If you just ask to see who they are they'll tell ya. But yeah, I like all three. Junpei can be a tool sometimes, but he's looking out for Taako so I can't be too mad.

Really? That's easier than I would have expected...

But I feel like I should get to know them before I ask for something like that. Or - wait, maybe they would prefer not to be wearing those masks?

I think so. I think it's weird for them to have to pretend all the time. I think their rules say they have to when they're outside, so it's a relief when they can take off the mask.

That makes sense. I'd hate to have to wear a mask all the time.
