Maybe? I'm not good at making sweet stuff either. I follow the recipe, no deviating, or it's gonna get wrecked.

I can't blame you for that. Some recipes can be really strict. You have to know what you're doing to make changes or substitutions.

Especially when it comes to baking.

... Yeah, I’ve got no time for that, l think. Cooking’s better because you’ve got the space to wing it.

You like experimenting when you cook?

Sometimes. Depends on what I've got to cook with.

You can make a croquette, or a burger more interesting pretty easily, but I'd mess up if it was like honey bagel or something like a chiffon cake.

[ hm. ] You seem like the type that'd prefer baking something to cooking something though. Or both.

I like both. I just like eating baked goods more.

[ Escha's appetite... and sweet tooth. Big. ]

And I don't have the patience for baking, or the sweet tooth. Some stuff's okay though, I guess.

[ by now the cocoa is done, so Escha sets down a cup for him nearby so they don't. Get stuck trying to do a hand-off. ]

ash doesn't take the cocoa immediately -- he lets it sit for a little, to cool down. ]

Escha also waits before drinking hers, so now they are just standing here in this awkward lapse in conversation because Escha couldn't keep up the chat... ]

Probably better not to dance around the fact we’re definitely stuck in a kill or be killed situation again.

The trick now is figuring out who means it, and who'll buckle.

Or maybe figuring out how they're gonna go about twisting our arms.

Even the people we know from our last games - that's still just a small handful of people. And in my game, killers were possessed, so...

... It's so hard to predict anything when even our frame of reference is different.

So, trust everyone but trust no one. Bit of a mixed message, isn't it?

And trusting someone or not trusting them - either one of those could blow up in our face.

You could say that in any context.

It just comes down to if you feel it's better to trust people or not, I guess.

I think it's better to. If we aren't dealing with possession, then there's no reason not to.
